The main objectives of this Conference are to develop a new updated regional synthesis of the Humboldt Current System using improved data availability and modelling, highlight and summarize the work carried out in recent years, foster exchanges among regional and international experts and make proposals for further applications, development and use of regional knowledge in support of fisheries and other sustainable uses of the marine environment.
