FAO/ICT-KM Knowledge Workshop

September 8-October 3, 2008 - With the successful completion of the Knowledge Workshop earlier this year, we are happy to announce a new opportunity to learn and exchange knowledge sharing techniques. As in the previous workshop organized by the Institutional Knowledge Sharing project of the ICT-KM, this workshop will be divided into three phases, including both online and face-to-face components. Advancing Agriculture in Developing Countries through Knowledge and Innovation

April 7-9, 2008 - Addis Ababa, Ethiopia - Development in Sub-Saharan Africa is often perceived as being blocked by issues of inappropriate agricultural technologies, immense institutional constraints, and deep problems with the organization and management of agricultural systems. The ICT-KM program is proud to support this conference organized by IFPRI that aims to provide a forum for the exchange of these ideas and experiences on knowledge and innovation systems among different innovation agents (including the public, private, and civil sectors).

Working together, working better

One of the main efforts of the CIO office is to strengthen collaborative efforts with CGIAR partners. This has translated to participating in conferences to conducting knowledge sharing workshops and sessions. One of the more successful partnerships strengthened has been with the FAO. Main focus of the CGIAR-FAO partnership as lead by the Program focuses on sharing information, opportunities and knowledge, while looking for opportunities for concrete collaboration and resource sharing.
