Completed The aim of the project was to assist Kampala urban farmers, livestock and livestock product marketers to improve their livelihoods and contribute to urban food security through testing application of simple user guidelines on the new City Council Ordinances.
A number of research projects on urban and peri-urban agriculture have been going on in Kampala since 2002. Poultry was a significant urban industry contributing the majority of the city's consumption (Maxwell and Zziwa, 1992).
