[2008-04-07] Orange
The market has remained very satisfactory, for both table and juice orange. Demand has kept a normal seasonal level. The Navelate shortage has worsen, as a result of the early decrease of the Spanish season (supply around 10/15% below the average week 15). The harvest has been completed this week in the Valencia area. Prices have remained stable and high at the import stage and at the production stage as well. The Valencia offer has came back to an average. Spanish volumes have continued to develop. Prices have decreased slightly but have remained around 40% higher than the average. Morocco deliveries have remained stable, but the fruits have begun to enjoy a better demand (some multiple lines opened). Prices stable. The Maltesa season has continued to tend down. Good demand and firm prices for the good quality fruits
