The European market has continued to worsen, in spite of a remaining quite good demand. The commercial week has been curtailed. However, the negative impact of the season fruit on banana consumption has remained very limited as the arrival of spring has been once again delayed (except for Spain). Nevertheless, the global deliveries have continued to develop. On the one hand, last weeks' stocks have been available in some countries. On the other hand, arrivals have continued to be higher than the average despite African volumes still noticeably in shortage. Deliveries from dollar origin have remained heavy (spot offers still on the south of Europe markets and reaching the Northern Europe ones). The peak of West Indies arrivals has extended and supply from Surinam has increased sharply and on an had hoc basis. Prices have registered a decrease on all European market places. Market has appeared as particularly difficult in France, United Kingdom and Eastern Europe.
