Situated on the Caribbean coast of Central America, Belize is small but geographically diverse with an exotic mix of peoples, including the Mestizo, Creole, Garifuna and descendants of the Mayans. Sugar, banana and citrus have been the traditional exports but with the changes in EU preferences, agricultural exports are diversifying to include fresh fruits, cacao and fish. 03/07/09
