agriculture and future food supply. Certain sectors and regions may benefit from changing climate conditions, opening up new
opportunities. However, many poorer countries, especially those in the tropics and sub-tropics, will face increasing vulnerability, threatening food security. It is for this reason that climate change must be included in agricultural development programmes.
