Postdoctoral Fellow
The Poverty, Health and Nutrition (PHN) Division at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) seeks a qualified Postdoctoral Fellow candidate to serve as a Research Coordinator for the evaluation of a nutrition project (Prevention of Malnutrition in Under Twos (PM2A)) involving several partner institutions and operating in two countries: Guatemala (Coban) and Burundi (Bujumbura). This position is for the Research Coordinator position based in, Coban, Guatemala and will involve extensive travel within the country. This is a two-year, fixed-term, renewable appointment. Please note that Postdoctoral Fellow appointments at IFPRI have a maximum term of three (3) years, inclusive of any approved appointment extensions.
The successful candidate will coordinate all formative research, operations research and impact evaluation research activities associated with the PM2A project in Guatemala, and will work in close collaboration with IFPRI's staff at headquarters. PM2A aims to prevent infant and young child undernutrition through the provision of food rations and behavior change communication (BCC) and regular attendance at preventive health services. In Guatemala, the Research Coordinator will be integrated in the project's multi-institutional and multi-disciplinary team responsible for the PM2A program's implementation.
