Biodiversity decline: new report from WWF

A new report has ben recently published by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) that highlights that biodiversity has declined by more than 25% in the last 35 years. The report contains the The Living Planet Index (LPI), which tracks nearly 4,000 populations of wildlife; and it shows an overall fall in population trends of 27% between 1970 and 2005. Wildlife and ecosystems are increasingly under more and more pressure from human intervention and activities. The report also outlines that if the loss of biodiversity continues at this level, human livelihoods will be significantly affected
