The Second Global Fisheries Enforcement Training Workshop (GFETW) will be held in Trondheim, Norway 7-11 August 2008. This five day training workshop is aimed at all fisheries monitoring, control and surveillance personnel from both developing and developed countries. Focus will be on the presentation of useful techniques, exchange of experiences and solutions to common problems. At least 200 participants are expected. The workshop is hosted by the Norwegian Directorate of Fisheries, sponsored by the International MCS Network, co-sponsored by FAO, the EC, the World Bank and others.
