Convened, among others, by the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), the symposium brings together leading researchers from various disciplines to review current knowledge on hybrid rice development, seed production, molecular application and economics, and to discuss future research strategies. Topics to be covered include improvements in breeding methodologies and products; and application of biotechnology in hybrid rice breeding.
