Programme Officer
Under the general supervision of the Senior Officer (Performance and Accountability) and the direct supervision of the Senior Officer (Process Improvement), Business Improvement Unit, Corporate Services, the incumbent will:
coordinate programme planning and formulation and/or revision of departmental inputs to the strategic framework, medium-term plan and PWB, including liaison with OSP on matters related to programme planning, budget preparation and implementation monitoring;
provide support in the preparation of annual work plans, advise budget holders on the utilization of staff and non-staff resources and monitor programme and budget implementation from all sources (Regular Programme and Extra Budgetary) and contribute to programme evaluation;
prepare reports and syntheses of budgetary status against work plans;
supervise staff in the carrying out of financial/administrative operations ensuring financial actions are in conformity with financial rules and regulations;
provide general administrative assistance at the departmental level and, where applicable, logistic support for the organization of management meetings, management of office space, etc.;
prepare background material for the ADG on a variety of topics as needed
liaise with Corporate Services divisional programme staff to ensure a coherent approach to programme planning and implementation
assist with liaison with other units of the Organization, and monitor deliberations of Governing Bodies in order to help ensure consideration of concerns related to the Department’s areas of responsibility and to promote coordinated action
perform any other duties as required.
