HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER (Communication)

Under the direct supervision of the Chief, Strategy,
Policy and Planning Branch, the incumbent is responsible for the
development and management of a Human Resources communication
strategy. In particular, to: • act as focal
point in the preparation of the communication strategy for the
Human Resources Management division, •
coordinate of inputs from the various units and monitor
implementation of progress; • Conceptualise and
implement advocacy/communication strategies and campaigns on key
operations and issues; • be responsible for the
development of materials for pamphlets, brochures, and multimedia
products for distribution to staffat- large and member nations
material to enhance the visibility of the
Division’s work and to support CSH advocacy
activities (especially on new policies and procedures);
• Adapt the level of language and complexity of
content to a wide range of audiences in internal and external
environments; • Conceptualize input and provide
advice on the design and content of the CSH Web site;
• Assess the general reaction of staff to the
work of the Division on the basis of structured information
gathering ; • Establish and maintain contacts
with other divisions, regarding communication and collaborative
activities; • Develop guidelines and advise CSH
staff on communication tools and strategies for their oral and
written communications; • Set standards for the
dissemination of corporate HR management information and
develop/recommend new approaches; • Actively
promote the services and competencies of the division;
• Stay abreast of FAO operations, policies and
pertinent activities; • Perform other related
duties as required.
