Human Resources Officer (Strategy)

The Human Resources Management Division (CSH) is
responsible for developing and facilitating the implementation of
human resources policies and programmes and advising management
on strategies to ensure that the Organization is served by
competent and motivated staff.Under the supervision of the
Principal Officer, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating
the development and monitoring of a human resource strategy
framework and associated policies and programmes. The main tasks
of this role are to: • evaluate the impact of
HR policies on the Organization in reaching the objectives of the
HR strategy framework; • establish monitoring
mechanisms to assess the effectiveness of HR strategies;
• coordinate the organization of strategic
planning exercises and promote involvement of the Human Resources
Management Division as well as client departments and offices;
• participate in the definition of divisional
work plans and unit results; • provide input on
human resources initiatives for effective delivery of the HR
strategy and participate in developing strategies relating to
different HR processes; • prepare statements
and presentations for the Director-General and the Assistant
Director-General on the HR Strategy framework as required;
• review and analyze documentation for
inter-agency meetings and FAO governing bodies meetings and draft
the Organization’s position on items under
consideration; • articulate concise, well
reasoned and forward thinking positions on complex HR strategies;
• effectively represent the Division and/or
Organization at working level meetings as required;
• perform other related duties as
required.
