GCC agriculture ministers to hold 22nd meeting of Agricultural co-op committee

Dr. Fahd Abdulrahman Balghunym, the Minister of Agriculture will lead the Saudi Arabian delegation to the 22nd meeting of the GCC agricultural cooperation committee to be held in UAE capital, Abu Dhabi with the participation of GCC ministers of agriculture.

The ministerial committee will discuss the articles of the permanent committees of agricultural policies, livestock and fish resources.

Also, the committee will review the Kuwait Declaration issued in December 2009, with regard to establishing a center for studies on GCC food and water security in addition to the proposal from Bahrain on the possibility of agriculture investment abroad and Qatar's proposal on the management of water resources and the applications of genetic engineering by using biotechnology.
